  Click on "Expand all" and read the information.

Setup & User Guides > View all > Scanners, Copiers, & Fax (7) > Fax (14)

It doesn't matter if you want to fax a Pdf file or a Jpg file or a Docx file.
1. the fax must be activated on the printer, see the manual
2. the fax software must be installed, see complete driver software,
