I’m trying to send a fax from the HP printer app from my phone. I put all the information in and it keeps telling me invalid fax number format. I’ve put the number in correct but yet it still won’t let me use it.

Hi @LC133,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
That sounds frustrating! Let's try to troubleshoot the issue together. Here are a few things you can check.
- Country Code: Ensure that you're including the correct country code before the fax number. For example, if you're in the United States, the country code is "+1".
- Area Code: Make sure you're including the correct area code if necessary. Some fax numbers require an area code, while others don't.
- Formatting: Double-check that you're entering the fax number in the correct format. It typically looks like this: +[Country Code][Area Code][Fax Number]. For example, a fax number in the United States might look like +1-XXX-XXX-XXXX.
- Special Characters: Avoid using any special characters or spaces in the fax number. Stick to numbers only.
- Leading Zeros: Remove any leading zeros from the fax number.
- Test Another Number: If possible, try sending a fax to a different number to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is specific to the fax number you're trying to use.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
