What is entailed in setting up iPhone 11 to use for fax?

I've not done it.

You need to sign up for the service - and follow whatever instructions are provided.

The service is free for now - in fact, the service has been on an Extended Trial for a while, now.

When the service is finally out of the trial phase, you can either continue at whatever cost is charged or Cancel the service at that time. What does this mean?  You cannot Cancel until the service is out of Trial - you will be notified when the status changes and you can make up your mind at that time.

The FAQ section in the link provides answers as are available.
