Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I'm using the document feeder with 4x6 photos, selecting 4x6 photos in the scan dialogue box. The scans come out as something more square looking, definitely not 4x6 (so the full photos are not captured). All other aspects of the printer/scanner are working properly.

Interestingly enough, the A4 setting does capture the full 4x6 photo, but with excess white space on both L and R sides.

@beejerz

Depending on resolution, you ALWAYS get smaller or larger the physical size of all scanned documents no matter what. One more thing it will scan the whole glass area that why you have white borders.

You can ALWAYS use photo editor software to manipulate/alter the results.

Hope this makes sense.

What I am indicating is that the scanner is not scanning a 4x6 area, although in the settings it is set to do so. What it is scanning is not the whole photo, but maybe 4 x 5" or so... in other words, the scan is incomplete on the L and R side of the scan. There are no other settings to use to adjust the scan size other than those prefixed settings.
