Just had a Designjet T2600 installed. We scan drawings and name them with long file names:123main-123a456-2014-1of2 which our old HP scanner allowed us to do.  This one doesn't - it only allows us to type as many characters as will fit in the box on the screen.  Then it automatically adds the current date and some random numbers (20190711_123456).  We don't want the date or their numbers and really need the space for our own info.  Any way to change the preset suffix?

HP Recommended

Check in the embedded web server. You should be able to turn off name suffix you are seeing.
