Hi,

 

Try this standalone software:

 

HP Scan Extended

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:
The following resource will help you :
https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

i CAN PRINT WITHOUT AN ISSUE. i ONLY HAVE ISSUE WITH hp scan and capture. eVEN THE WEB BASED SCAN WORKS. i'D RATHER not REINSTALL THE PRINTER DRIVES.

In that case, Uninstall the HP Scan and Capture and reinstall from the WIndows store.

Sorry but I already did that twice with no luck. I have a feeling there is something in a recent Win10 update that messed things up (as usual).

Not only did EXTENDED work but after installing and restarting PC the HP SCAN and CAPTURE had a "NEW" note next to it. When I tried IT bavoooommm!!!! it too works so I now have 2 apps that work. Many thanks.
