Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

My HP 3755 is a2 yea little over 2 years old and my Surface Windows 11 is about a year old.  It has a Snapdragon X series processor.  I found that I do not have access to Printer Assistant on my computer.  I tried to download a Full Pack from HP, but it errored "Won't run Plug and Play".  Is there a solution to getting my ADF to work?

It looks like your HP DeskJet 3755 is having compatibility issues with Windows 11 on a Snapdragon X series processor, particularly with HP Printer Assistant and Plug and Play errors. Since your Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) isn't working, let's go through some troubleshooting steps.

 

Step 1: Use HP Smart Instead of Printer Assistant

HP has retired HP Scan and Capture for Windows, and HP Smart is now the recommended app for scanning. Try installing HP Smart from the Microsoft Store and check if scanning works.

 

Step 2: Check for Windows 11 ARM Compatibility

Since your Surface device uses a Snapdragon processor, some HP drivers may not be fully optimized for Windows 11 ARM. HP’s support page for your printer lists available drivers here. If your operating system isn’t listed, HP may not provide official driver support.

 

Step 3: Install HP DeskJet 3755 Drivers Manually

  1. Visit HP’s driver download page here.
  2. Select Windows 11 as your OS.
  3. Download and install the full feature driver package.
  4. Restart your computer and test scanning.

 

Step 4: Try Windows Built-in Scanner

  1. Open Windows Scan (search for "Scan" in the Start menu).
  2. Select your HP DeskJet 3755.
  3. Try scanning a document to see if it works.
