When connected to my old computer I could scan as a PDF. I have not connected to a new wireless computer and I only get JPEG, BMP or TIP configurations. I need the pdf. How do I get that back?

Thanks Rainbow 7000. I was using plug & play and it didn't find all the components. I downloaded the update for this printer to work with Windows 8 and installed the full thing. Now I have the Solutions Center where I can choose PDF. Now if I can only figure out how to set this up as a wireless using the ethernet cable....... 🙂

Hi there @LR-Ky , welcome to the forums
I understand you are looking to scan as PDF. I would suggest downloading and installing the software on your computer and then scan from the software on your desktop.
Here is the link to the driver downloads: HP Officejet 6500 All-in-One Printer - E709a Drivers
If you run into troubles, let me know the details and also which OS you're running.
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
