Product: HP Smart Tank 7605 All-in-One
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I've tried looking 'everywhere' but can't find a solution to the fact of this device's producing only an unwanted mirror image of everything I try to scan, using the 'insert picture | from scanner or camera' tool in Word 2003. Worked completely OK with previous HP all-in-one!

Help, please?

Wife says no problem for her on her laptop (same as mine!) but scanning into a newer version of MS Word.

I'm trying it into the Writer component of Libre Office using Insert | media | Scan | Select Source but there are no sources listed to scan from.

How do I get my HP deviice to be visible to this program?
