We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

@leftywright, thank you for the information.

 

As you are able to make copies on the printer, the scanner hardware seems to be working fine.

 

Install and use the HP Smart app to 'scan to email'.

Click here to download the app. Once the app is installed, create smart tasks to scan to email. Refer to this document to know how.

Also having the same issue. “Preparing scanning...” just spins and spins and then ultimately says “Scan failure.” I have restored factory defaults, updated firmware, and tried setting it all up again to no avail. Same error every time. Very frustrating because this feature had been working just fine.

If you're using the Gmail account, try allowing the less secure apps to access your account. Refer to the document HP Printers - Scan to Email Cannot Access Email Accounts for help.

 

If the issue persists, remove and add the web services. Follow the steps below-

 

Step 1 Remove the Web-Services -

1. From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, touch ( HP ePrint ), and then touch (Web Services Settings).

2. Touch Remove Web Services.

 

Reboot the devices.

 

Step 2 Enable the Web-Services -

1. From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Web Services Setup.

3. Touch Accept to accept the Web Services terms of use and enable Web Services.

4. On the screen that appears, touch OK to allow the printer to automatically check for product updates.

5. If the Printer Update Options screen is displayed, select one of the options.

6. When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page. Follow the instructions on the information page to finish the setup.
