HP 8028e, won't scan to computer. is set up, shows ready on my computer,as far as the printer goes. I sent a document to my printer to print, and it worked. Now I want to scan the completed document in to my computer to email. No can do.
Says scan function not available.. I checked that it was connected to wifi, full signal.
Although my computer was connected to internet by ethernet cable ,I was able to successfully send my print job to the printer.
I then disconnected the ethernet cable, to make sure it wasn't interfering, I was able to again successfully send and print my document.
The "Smart app Dr." started putting me through things, and when it started trying to connect to fix my scan issues, it got 90% done, then said it could not connect to my printer .
Ideas, anyone?? I'm about to go out and buy a different printer This is new,lol
