Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Support Community.
The Automatic Document Feeder scans 1 sided only.
For scanning 2 sided document, download and use the HP FULL software solution. Note that manual reload of the document to scan 2nd side is needed but the HP Scan software will automatically sort out the pages in order.
Download and install the software from here:
This example shows how to scan 2 sided using the HP FULL software solution (the HP Envy Pro 6455 also has an ADF that scans 1 side only) :
