@emiguyjim, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

That’s frustrating—especially when you rely on that feature! 😩 If the enlarge/reduce copy size option has disappeared on your HP OfficeJet, try these steps:

Restart the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back in.
  5. Turn on the printer.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

Reset the printer to factory settings if the option is still missing. Restore factory defaults on your HP printer | HP® Support

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Your suggestions did not help. Two other HP support agents tried for over hour to resolve issue. I and they did the things you suggested. Could you comment on if the problem is the recent firmware update. In my phone cons with HP they will not give me a response if it could be the firmware. How do I get HP to look at the firmware? They have avoided answered the firmware question.

I forgot to say we tried the factory reset. That didn't solve the problem. To my engineering logic and training, the issue is firmware, but HP will not admit it. The HP9135e is only one with 2 paper trays and can switch from legal paper to legal easily.

Other than the resize isssue, I like my HP 9135e. I realize HP could have removed the resize feature without notifying me; however they should not state it has that feature in the webpage showing the printer for sale. Here is an analogy. It it like you buy a car with Wi-Fi enabled but later the factory remotely disables it.

I have a complaint number (Edited) but the Escalations Case Manager said two days ago she would investiage and get back to me.  So far she has not.

I think I saw somewhere that the option to resize when copying has been taken away. (Sorry, I can't find where I saw that, and I really hope I'm wrong because I've needed to resize when copying in the past and hope I can continue doing so.)
