Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I managed to set up the printer (HP Color Laser MFP 178 nw) with great difficulty. Apart from the bad software (constant problems with the account registration) Sometimes the registration under HP works smart, sometimes not... After every restart you have to register again for a scan, and you need more luck than brains, alone, because the app also hangs all the time...

The main problem is that I can't get the scan resolution higher than 300 dpi. How and where can I solve this?

I have now reinstalled everything. If I want to use the scan function in HP smart, I can set a maximum of 300dpi. The source is "Flatbed Glass" and cannot be changed either.

Unfortunately, no solution was found in another post by a user who has the same problem. So it seems I'm not the only one with this problem.

- HP Color Laser MFP 178 nw

- Win 10 (64bit)

Best regards

Ok, I seem to have found a solution...
With me under :"C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\MFP Scan\EDC.exe" you can run a scan option locally. Without this HP Smart nonsense. There I can also select 600 dpi.

But still a joke, since the printer is actually supposed to create up to 4800x4800 dpi
