HP Color LaserJet MFP M480 Cannot Scan to email

My LaserJet MFP M480 will no longer scan to email. When checking the Outgoing Email server settings, the printer will not verify email credentials, giving an error stating that the username or password is incorrect. I've tried 3 separate sets of email credentials, verifying each time the username and password are correct, but the printer still gives the error and the setup process cannot be completed. I factory reset the printer and tried entering the outgoing email server settings again but still receive the same error. Any advice is appreciated.

If using Office365 or google mail, you will need to create an app password in order to scan to email. Your standard credentials will not work. Both Microsoft and google have documents on properly configuring your account and your device.
