Hi all,

My problem is - I am not able to make a manuell duplex copy when I use the ADF Feeder.

I try to copy a doubleside document direct on the printer. So I put the document in the ADF and choose over the Touchscreen the COPY Function. Then I choose "double-sided" = 1-side to 2-side

I know that there is no duplex unit in the ADF. But I would expect that ADF will scan the first side, stop then and will wait until I flip the document manually and insert it again into to the ADF. After that the printer should give me a doubleside output. But this does not work. I get only an oneside output right after the ADF scans the first side of the document.

Is this a software bug?

In general it works if I use the HP Scan Software. In this case I can scan duplex documents via ADF by manuell re-inserting the documents.

Best regards

Guido

What if you lay the paper on the glass, does it prompt you to turn it over then? The other thing that can cause an issue is if you do not specify both the size of the paper being scanned and have the paper tray set to that same size.

Hi Repairtrooper, thanks for your reply.

Yes, if I use the Scanner-Glass everything works fine. The printer waits for me to turn over the document and after that it prints a duplex paper.

But if I put the documet in the ADF, it scans one side and the printer starts directly with the output and doesn't wait for me to turn over.

The format is set to German DIN A4 😉

Best regards

Guido
