Upgraded from Windows 7 or 8 to new machine with Windows 10

Cannot get or find or install Scanner program

I have installed the Windows 10 download and the printer works fine.

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to find scanning software after windows 10  upgrade. I would like to help you resolve this issue. 

Install HP Scan and Capture software.

Go to HP Scan and Capture (in English) to install the app from the Microsoft Store.

Scan with HP Scan and Capture

1. Turn on the printer.

2. Place the item you want to scan on the scanner glass, or load it into the automatic document feeder (ADF) if your printer has one.

3. Search Windows for Scan and Capture, then click HP Scan and Capture in the list of results.

4. Click the menu  icon, then select Settings.

5. Click Select Device, then select your HP printer.

6. Click Document Scan Options or Photo Scan Options to change any settings, then click the back arrow.

7. Click outside the Settings menu, then click Capture Documents or Capture Photos.

8. When the scan completes, click the save  icon.

Click here and the document to perform the above steps.
