When I attempted to use HP Smart for scanning today, it requested that I sign in to my account, which I did. It then said that it could not scan from my HP DeskJet Plus 4120 All-in-One as the scanner was either not connected or was not compatible. It was working fine for scanning only a few days ago. I've checked that the USB connection is okay. Is it a coincidence that my HP dashboard says that my warranty expired today?

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App and try.

As mentioned by some other community members, I found that I had to uninstall Microsoft's July Cumulative update KB5015807 in order to get the printer/scanner to work with HP Smart. I presume I will get the same problem again when I have to do a computer restart.
