Hi@JTF4,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing scanner issues with the HP DeskJet 3755 All-In-One Printer.
I have a few recommendations
- On the underside of the scanner lid above the strip of ADF glass, use a soft, lint-free cloth moistened with water to clean the upper white strip and metal strip (if applicable). In some cases, this is a glass strip similar to the ADF glass. note: Do not scrub or use paper-based wipes as this can scratch the surface.
- Click on this link for Vertical lines or streaks appear on copies and/or scans when copying and/or scanning from the automatic document feeder (ADF) https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06432233
- Vertical lines on copies, sent faxes, or scanned documents are typically caused by dirt, ink, corrective fluid, or other debris stuck on the ADF scanner glass. Cleaning the ADF scanner glass properly should resolve this issue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

How do I get to the underside of the scanner lid? This is not a flatbed scanner with a cover that lifts up. It is an auto feed scanner with a rigid slot that documents are fed into. There is no way that I can see to get at the glass directly. How many times do I need to say this?

Clicking on that link is how I got to you in the first place. What will be different?
It has been suggested that there may not be a way to get at the glass to clean it. If that is the case I accept it. But giving me directions that don't apply to my printer just disappoints me.

Hi Dilip,
Rather than answering my question, your previous response referred me to the links to the 3755 owners manuals. So I went there.
My Adobe Reader is up to date. I clicked on the User Guide link, thinking that maybe there is something that addresses my issue. Unfortunately, when I click on the link, my screen goes blank for a second, and then returns to where it was. No document is downloaded or opened.
So I am still at square one. Do I have to take this to Palo Alto to get someone to give me an answer?
