Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. I tried everything, uninstalling, reinstalling, different apps, updates, etc. No matter what I can not get my printer to scan. My computer and the HP SMart app keep saying they can't detect a scanner or that the scanner "software" is not found/working. Nothing I do works. I used to scan things just fine and now I can't. I don't have the ability to get my printer connected to the internet so I use a USB and it has always worked before.
