HP Easy Scan Version 2.0.0 (220518) on macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224) Crash When Saving PDF-Searchable

HP Easy Scan Version 2.0.0 (220518) on macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 (23E224) crashes when saving scan as PDF-Searchable. I uninstalled using the HP Uninstall tool, and reinstalled using HP Easy Start, but it's still broken. It's been like this for over a year now! I'm out of ideas at this point. This is insane! I can't even contact them directly to tell them just how broken their garbage software is. HP needs to update their software!!!

Hi, there is indeed a crash problem when trying to save with the save command. (Also, there is a crash with the edit command.)  You can however print the document as a pdf. That works for me

Printing to PDF allows the save action to occur without crashing the HP Easy Scan app, and it creates the file - which I wasn't getting before - however, the file is not text-searchable, which is the crux of my issue. I need to save the file as a text-searchable PDF.

Indeed, it isn't a full solution, just better than no save at all. At least for me.
It's shame that HP is not responding !
