Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. macOS 10.13 High Sierra

Hi there - I've been happily using Easy Scan for a while. I just spent several hours scanning documents at very high resolution, and suddenly Easy Scan will not let me save to a folder. I've tried saving it to my desktop, an external drive, and my dropbox - it just says "unable to save scanned items." I would rather not start over because this took several hours of scanning. I am using Easy Scan on a MacBook Pro, the operating system is High Sierra - and it worked fine until today. Thanks for your help.

@Ilana720, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

In order to isolate and resolve the issue, you may have to redo the scans. 

 

Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:

Update software on Mac 

 

If the HP Easy Scan is not updated, I'd suggest you uninstall and reinstall the printer software. Refer to the document HP Printers - Uninstalling HP Printer Software (Mac) for help.
