Hi @nockneed,

Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing scanning issues with your HP Envy 5032 All in One Printer.

Please follow the steps listed below to uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

Unplug any USB cable from the printer, if any, before doing this.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo

14.) Type c:/programdata and click Ok. Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.

15.) Restart the computer.

Once done, please download and install the software from this Weblink.

Let me know if this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead.

Hello Rainbow 23, NOCKNEED calling from PLanet ZORKA, situated on the Cork Road to Dublin, but THAT'S when I'm sober...! It's the Christmas Spirit  (5 glasses of it..! Commonly known as Baileys  ! Hiccup ! ) Sincere alopigies for the delay in replying, but I've been dealing with an EXPERT, with 16 Levels of  IT intelligence< and he keeps ignoring my printer fault, and instead just concentrates on re-emphasing the HP Community protocols, which apparantly  I've transgressed on occasion. ( at age 86 is there no leeway for old geezers like me ? Seeems not...!) I did reply to your 'Private' message, and explained  how things were up to that point. Problem is I DID follow  someones advice, and DID un-install, but a fault which occured read "Extraction Failed: can not delete output file ", and thereafter, I could not download / re-install from the HP website.Any while trying to resolve by whatever means, I got this message  'HP Twain: Scanner communication cannot be established' and that's where it stands. That Expert won't state what my problem is ( it's NOT alcohol ! )Thanks.NOCKNEED

Hello Rainbow 23. Thank you very much for your prompt and comprehensive reply to my last message. I'll follow your instructions, assuming that they are based on my detailed report and analysis of the problem with the scanner in the All-in-One Printer HP Envy 5032, and I'll get back to you when I've exhausted all the possibilities , and relay the outcome.  Sincerely and gratefully. NOCKNEED

hello again Rainbow 23. As promised, I followed your suggestions , but came up with the results shown in the attachment, in other words, a dead end. sorry.Incidently, my HP Envy 5032 was bought in  2019, and the warranty expired one year later...today I tried to purchase an additional  'care-plan', but  request was notified as ' not available'. Any other suggestions ? Thank you.NOCKNEED

Thursday  22nd Dec '22 01.29am. hello again Rainbow 23. In some desperation, may I pose a question for your appraisal...If I got someone to transfer the software information from the Hp disc for my Hp Envy 5032 All in One printer onto a  USB Flash Drive, would that install/ rather reinstall the printer onto my PC, when inserted on a USB port there ? OR WOULD that error about the " Extraction Failed: Can not delete output file" STILL be on the Scanner, and thus prove  to STILL be the problem ?

I look forward to your reply. Thank you. Sincerely KNOCKNEED
