My HP envy Photo 7155 scans at 300dpi but not at 600 or 1200dpi (Error message "A problem with the scanner has been detected...) I'm running MacOS 11.4, uninstalled and reinstalled HP Smart. Running it wireless.  I've turned off and unplugged both printer and computer. Hasn't fixed the problem.

Alfred from HP Tech support said that the latest update from Apple (MacOS big Sur 11.4) has some glitches that HP is working on resolving. He had me download the HP Easy Scan app which solved my problem. When a fix to the HP Smart app is available,  I'll be able to update my app. In the meantime, Easy Scan allows me to scan photos at 1200dpi.
