I own an HP HD Pro Scanner. I've had the scanner for about 4 years and always have the dust cover on it when not in use. I use it maybe 5 times a year. The first few scans I do, I have absolutely no problems with, however, by the time I get to the fourth scan, I get a "Lid Open" message and the scanner will not scan. This happens every time I use the scanner. It usually fixes itself after I open and close the lid 10 or 12 times, but there has got to be a better way. I have done hard resets, and I have cleaned the area, but neither has fixed the problem. The lid is definitely closed. Is there a work around or a solution to this problem or a reason why this keeps happening? Thanks
