We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I recently replaced my HP LJ M1530 MFP with a new HP LJ M1530 MFP ... same to same.

I suppose it was silly to think that the computer would just accept the new machine ...

 

I reinstalled the drivers and cannot scan. The first time around, installation included the scanner driver and dropped the HP Scan icon on my desktop. Since a new icon did not appear, I clicked on the old one. Now I get a pop-up that asks me to choose between HP LJ M1530 MFP Series Scan and HP LJ M1530 MFP Series #2. Neither one works and each generates error messages.

 

I need the dummies version set of instructions to clear out the erroneous information and set up the scanner.

 

Help me Obi Wan Kenobi ...

I understand you replaced the printer but can't scan.

I will be happy to help you.

 

What is the full name of the printer? Laserjet Pro M1536dn?

 

I would do a full uninstall and reinstall a fresh copy of the printer drivers and software.

Disconnect the USB cable if you are setting the printer up on a USB connection.

 

Uninstall From CD:
Go start, computer, right click on the CD for the printer, left click open in a new window, double click on uninstall.

OR

To uninstall from program files:
Go start and select computer.
Select the C drive.
Select program files or program files x86.
Open the HP and printer name folder.
Select uninstall.

 

Reinstall the software but don't connect the USB cable until prompted.

(if you are using a Ethernet connection you would want it connected before running the installation)

 

Please provide the following information so I can help you better.

 

What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.

 

How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet)

 

Let me know if you were able to install the printer software successfully and can now print and scan.

hello and good afternoon. please am also experiencing the problem above. my printer is working perfectly well but my scanner is not. anytime i tried using it, i get the error code up. am using windows 10 64bits and i am connected ethernet cable. kindly assist me.
