Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended
HP LaserJet M426fdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I scan from the Automatic Document Feeder, lines/streaks appears on the scan.

I cleaned the ADF's pickup rollers and separation pad (multiple times) according to the user guide, but it didn't help.

The lines don't appear when using the flatbed scanner. When I scan double-sided the line shows on the front side, but not on the back side.

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Is there a way to clean the ADF on the LaserJet M426 more thoroughly?

You can see the lines/streaks in HP Scan:

and on the PDF:

Double-sided scanning an empty page, the lines only appear on the first side:

It would have been caused by residue on the thin glass strip next to the flatbed, it might have rubbed off on to a sheet being run through the ADF.

Never mind, for some reason the problem was resolved by itself.

I have literally no idea how or when, but the scans are working fine now...
