@HAdi-MOJO, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

No worries about the lighting, I can still see the issue! 😇 The misalignment when copying from the glass or ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), but not when scanning from your computer, suggests that the problem is likely with how the paper is being fed or how the scanner is processing the image before printing.

Possible Causes:

  1. Paper Alignment Issue: If the paper isn’t properly aligned on the scanner glass or in the ADF, it could lead to a skewed output.
  2. ADF Roller Issue: Even though the printer is new, sometimes the ADF rollers may not grip the paper evenly, causing slight misalignment.
  3. Scanner Calibration Issue: The scanner might not be processing the scanned image correctly when copying.
  4. Glass or ADF Guide Issue: If the guides are not snug against the document, the paper might move slightly while being scanned.

Try these steps:

  1. Check Paper Alignment: Ensure that the document is properly placed on the scanner glass or ADF. The paper should be aligned with the guide markings.
  2. Clean ADF Rollers: Even on a new printer, dust or residue can affect the rollers. Open the ADF, locate the rollers, and clean them with a lint-free cloth and water (or isopropyl alcohol).
  3. Adjust ADF Guides: If using the ADF, make sure the guides are snug against the paper but not too tight.
  4. Test Copy from the Glass Again: Try copying directly from the flatbed scanner to see if the issue persists. If it only happens in ADF mode, the problem is most likely the rollers or guides.
