Product: HP Laser MFP 137fnw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I just bought a HP Laserjet MFP 137 fnw with serial number [Personal Information Removed]. I am running Windows 7. When i use the control panel to scan to PC using the WSD it only scans from the flatbed and not from the ADF even though the ADF is loaded. If i do an advanced scan from the HP MFP Scan software it uses the ADF when selected. How can i scan multiple pages using the control panel? This is an important requirement as the printer is not anywhere near the PC's.

Hello @Henkvdh ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I can darkly remember that the source must be changed to ADF. So first change the source, then scan.

Hi Andr-1611,

 

This is something i was looking for but there is no option on the control panel to change source for scanning and there is no settings in the EWS for the scanner at all. Maybe it is an oversight by HP something they could fix in a Firmware?

Hi Andr-1611,

 

Yes, WSD driver is working correctly as all scanning functions work to the PC, but only scans from flatbed and not ADF.

 

When i copy and there is Paper in the ADF it copies from the ADF.

Hi Henk,

as I see it now, manual and specification do not contain any information, this Laserjet seems to ignore the ADF only when scanning to the computer!

But what surprises me is that the copy command recognizes a properly inserted sheet in the ADF and then uses it.

Is there any info displayed on the printer, document loaded in the ADF?

After a copy with the ADF, again load the ADF and start a scan. Does the scan software in the printer recognize that the ADF is loaded and is the ADF now used?

Another possibility could be a solution to change the scan software on the computer to source = ADF before. Then start a scan from the printer. Is the ADF then used?
