I can't get pdf to show as an option for scanning on my new laserjet.  Help please.

Please try this scan solution:
 
HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Make searchable PDF scans with this free scanning software -   https://www.naps2.com/

Thanks for your help.  The HP Scan Extended did the trick.  I was hoping that there might have been a solution that added pdf as an option of the printer screen in terms of beng able to scan directly from the printer itself.  However, now that I can scan from the PC I have what I need.
