Operating System: Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

HP Easy Scan 1.9.2 is unable to find the printer/scanner. Tried reboot, shutdown. nothing ... any idea ?

Hi,

The printer is supported on 10.11 or later OS versions, no drivers are available for earlier OS versions and therefore HP Easy  Scan doesn't work with your scanner.

 

You may find its System Requirements listed below:

You may try adding the printer using Apple AirPrint and check if scanning via Image Capture might work:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05635968

 

See the 'How do I scan with AirPrint?' section and check if scanning might work with Image Capture.

 

If that fails as well, I suggest upgrading your operating system to a later version, then install your printer software using HP Easy Start:

https://www.apple.com/macos/how-to-upgrade/

i connected the HP Laserjet MFP M28-M31 to my macbook air ( High Sierra installed ). everything works ( printing and copy ) but not the scan. HP Easy Scan doesn't detect any scanner ... until i restarted the macbook air ! everything's fine now.
