HP Recommended
HP LaserJet MFP M277dw
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The network configuration is correct, printer and the computer is in the same wireless network192.168.10.X.

It worked before, but not anymore. I can choose scan to computer, no problem.

I can use the HP scan via computer and save file, no problem.

But I can NOT anymore via the printer to make the scan to Network. I have not done anything so feel it confused.

Please help ! Thanks a lot !

@FredrikSE,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

Set your default printer in Windows 8 and Windows 7.

  1. Search Windows for devices, and then click Devices and Printers from the list of results.

  2. Right-click the name of the HP printer that is active (not grayed out), and then select Set as Default Printer.

Changing the gray icon to the color icon to be the default printer

  3. Try to print.

Then, I suggest you do a Hard Reset on the printer to stabilize.

(1) Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

(2) Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

(3) With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

(4) Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

(5) Wait at least 60 seconds.

(6) Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

NOTE: HP recommends connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.

(7) Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

(8) Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

The printer might go through a warm-up period. The printer lights might flash, and the carriage might move.

Wait until the warm-up period finishes and your printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

Thanks.

There is no problem in printing.

The key issue here is why the scanner could NOT access the network folder. Scan to usb or Scan to windows works fine.

Scan to network folder worked before but not anymore.

@FredrikSE,

I suggest you follow the suggestion on the previous post if the issue persists.

Then, let's try giving permissions to the Printer folder.

Press Windows key + R and type Spool hit enter.

Right-click on the printer folder select property.

Open the printer folder and delete all the folders go back

Right-click on the printer folder select properties

select security TAB

Under the Security Tab

Click on edit and give permission to all the folder and username.

Similar go to device and printer

Right-click on the printer

Select printer properties

Select the Security Tab

Click on edit and give full permission to all the folder and username.

Restart the computer and try to print.

If the issue persists, use HP Print and Scan Doctor.

I had exactly the same problem and it took me a couple of days to find the solution.  The problem was caused by a recent Windows Update for Windows 7.  First, check your Windows Updates and see if update KB4480970 was installed (sometime after January 8, 2019).  If so, this is causing a problem with scanning to network folders.

Microsoft released a patch to fix this problem.  It is patch update KB4487345.  You can download the patch here:  http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4487345.  Install the patch, restart your computer, and you should be able to scan again.  It worked for me!
