Just got a new Color Laserjet pro 3301. Scan to email using my LDAP address book is difficult to use. It takes no less than eight steps to search an email address and get it in the the "To" field.
1. Select "Scan to Email"
2. Press the address book icon.
3. Select the address book (LDAP)
4. Press the search Icon.
5. Type in a partial name.
6. Press the search icon again.
7. Click the select box next to the email address.
8. Press OK
I have an older M248F using the same LDAP server and that takes two steps.
1. Press "Scan to Email"
2. Type in the first 3 character of a name and it auto populates the "To" field.
Anyway to simplify this? This is a horribly designed user interface. I have employees that will walk across the entire building to avoid using this printer for "Scan to Email". This defeats 50% of the reason I bought it.

How many employees do you have using it? This product is designed for a small office a single or maybe 3-5 users MAX. Any more users than that and you should have considered one of the enterprise products like the M578.
We do not even sell this product in a business environment. Unless you can setup quicksets for the scans then likely you are going to be limited.
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.

The user pool is 5 people. This is sold as a small office color laser on the HP site.
Why even have an LDAP connection if it is less useful than typing in the email address by hand? The user interface on this printer seems like an after thought.
