HP OJP 8028 is in warranty and was fully functional prior to signing up for Instaink program. Once new cartridges were loaded to begin the subscription the scanner has failed to work. Error message says the "Scanner is not available." I have tried everything possible, turning everything off, then on, deleting and reloading current drivers (new was the same as the prior), followed instructions of Virtual Assistant (not much assistance), finally gave up. Anyone know about any solutions or patches to the drivers?

Are you able to make photocopies on the printer?
Are you using the HP Easy Scan App to scan?
Have you tried using the Apple Image Capture?
Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac) for alternate scanning methods.
Also, ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:
Try scanning.
