I have the same problem/question.

"I would like to know to scan to an email server (smtp relay) without software on the desktop.  (Security restrictions.)"


According to this site it should be possible

OJ Pro 7740 doesn't support that feature scan to email.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, it supports scan to email.
But the way it is implemented is very bad for business use.
A pro model should be able to do this.

So I'm waiting for Rainbow23 or someone else from HP who can share the right solution.
