I do not  know how to contact the support team. The link I received took me to an online help  page and there was no  link tos schedule a time with HP Support for remote help. Please let me know if you know how to  do  this.

It's been a couple of weeks and no one has contacted me regarding a solution or  assistance. Should I just give up on using the HP Easy Scan application and use the printer's web interface from now on?

@robtcallahan, I also get ZERO answer from HP support, neither from @elohi_nr.

Not only it doesn't work with the HP scan software but neither with the embbeded MAC preview software.

Better to through it away and buy EPSON products!

Same problem with Catalina on OS 10. We must to update to OS 11 and charge the new HP app HP Smart but only for OS 11 and +. If your computer is to old for OS11 + , nether HP or Apple succeeded to help me. 2 solutions: bring HP Smart on your more recent phone to command your printer or, in your computer, put the printer IP Address ( on the printer screen, ex: 10.20.30.366) in the search window and you will have and HP page to command the printer manually.  Good luck!!

I just started having this issue. Started with not being able to connect over Wifi. That was resolved with a reboot of the router. It's online but constantly gets the error message. It's odd because it's a different error message when printer is powered off. So it knows the difference and there is some communication between the two. I assume that HP never connected with you.

unfortunately I didn't managed to fix the issue on the scanning part.

I tried to reset all printers, to install either via "bonjour", direct ip address... printing is fine but scanning ZERO chance.

FYI:Printing still work.

I started to have issues on my 2 others laptops on windows 10 & 11. Reinstalled etc.. scanning works but I don't have anymore the HP window for the settings and goes through the standard (crapy) Microsoft window.

 

This is a planned or forced obsolescence!!!

 

My main disappointment is on the lack of commitment from HP - they posted here they will send us a link to get a proper support which is not the case!

I think I'll need to replace this device working perfectly, and I'm seriously considering another brand than HP!!!
