I keep getting an error message that says "The scan could not be completer. Make sure that the scanning software has been installed and configured on your computer, and then try again." I installed the Raediris Pro 14 software, but I cannot use the software as it reads " Your activation code is printed on the CD-label." There is no activation code printed on the CD-label.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
The ReadIris software will not prompt for the activation code IF THE HP FULL feature software is INSTALLED FIRST.
Here's what we would recommend:
1. Uninstall the ReadIRIS
2. Install the HP FULL feature software (Not HP Smart)

Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
Alternatively, this link will also help to download and install the FULL feature software.

3. Install ReadIRIS AFTER the FULL feature software is installed.
How to Scan to Computer
Once you have installed the software:
1. Click on the printer Icon (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP Printer Assistant.
2. Under the Scan menu, there is a “Manage Scan to Computer”, click on that.
3. Make sure that you “Enable” Scan to Computer. Also make sure the tab “Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows” is checked if you want to make this feature permanent. (the following video will show you how)
