That was a useless and incorrect response.  I can find no ability for an officejet pro 8035 using HP Smart (the only driver suite available for an 8030 series on a Mac OS) to do manual double sided scanning.  It would be great if you could prove me wrong.   There is no way to download a "full" driver on a Mac.  You are always redirected to HP Smart.  And there is no selection in the scan function in HP Smart for manual double sided scanning.
