HP OfficeJet Pro 9025

For some reason, it only happens when using the scan feature and not the copy feature.

I opened up the printer and ensured the rollers were good and in the correct position as stated by support, cleaned rollers, made sure aligning guides were ok and still no luck.

Tested several pages and all Copy tests were good, but scanning copies were not.

Hi @bandrade97,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds frustrating to experience crooked scans despite ensuring that the rollers and alignment guides are correctly positioned. Here are a few additional steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

  • Check Document Placement: Ensure that the documents you are scanning are properly aligned against the guides in the document feeder tray. Even a slight misalignment can cause crooked scans.
  • Clean Document Feeder Rollers: Clean the rollers again thoroughly, as sometimes residue or dust can cause improper paper handling during scanning.
  • Check Scanner Glass and Feeder Path: Inspect the scanner glass and the entire feeder path for any debris, smudges, or obstacles that could affect the document's movement during scanning.
  • Reset Printer: Sometimes, resetting the printer to its default settings can resolve scanning issues. You can usually find this option in the printer's menu or through the printer's web interface.
  • Update Firmware and Software: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Also, check if there are any updates available for the scanning software or drivers that might address this issue. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Calibrate Scanner (if available): Some printers offer a calibration option for the scanner. Check your printer's manual or settings menu to see if this is available and perform the calibration if possible.
  • Try Different Scanning Settings: Experiment with different scanning settings (resolution, paper size, etc.) to see if the issue persists across different configurations.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
