We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Pavilion 500-410
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I have a HP Deskjet 882C printer and a HP Scanjet G3010 scanner connected to my HP Pavilion 500-410 desktop computer.  Everything is working fine, no problems.  However, I tried using the HP Print and Scan doctor to see what happens.  The  doctor could not find my scanner but it did find my printer.  I tried everything that I could think off but nothing solved this problem of the invisible scanner.  I turned everything on and off a few times.  I uninstalled the scanner software and then reinstalled it.  I replaced the USB cables.  I moved the USB connectors to different ports on the computer.  I uninstalled the doctor and then reinstalled it.  I disconnected the scanner and replaced with one of the same type that does not work.  The doctor could not find that one either.

 

In the past, I used the doctor with a Vista computer and with a Windows 7 (32 bit) computer and it worked fine with both printers and scanners.  But I am not having success with my current Windows 7 (64 bit machine) in finding scanners.

 

Perhaps there is something that I am missing.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Print and Scan Doctor?

 

If no, please uninstall the HP PSDr and reinstall it from here HP Print and Scan Doctor

I did uninstall and reinstall the Print and Scan Doctor on 7/18/19.  My file version is 1.4.1926.0
