How do I get the feeder on the printer to work? I load the paper at top but when I hit copy or scan it reads from the empty glass and does not pull the original in from the feeder

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Are you using HP Smart or FULL Software solution to scan?  For either software, make sure that the "Document Feeder" is selected, else, it will scan from the glass.
