Just completed the OS Sierra 10.12 upgarde on my mac. When using HP SCAN software with my Officejet Pro8600 Plus I can no longer save the scanned document. Scanning works fine, I can click save from the file menu but in the save window after entering a file name I cannot click the save button. Its a dull grey colour.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
HP Scan is incomaptible with Sierra.
From teh Applications folder move the HP Scan application to the trash and empty the trash.
Next install and use HP Easy Scan below:

Got this same problem after upgrading to Sierra 10.12. Thank goodness that the solution was available here after others complained but why couldn't HP have released an update for HP Scan that we would have been alerted to as a matter of course? At least I can now save my scans.

I uninstalled my HE Scan, replaced it with the app from your link from Apple App Store.
I had to manually add my HP printer whereas the old app did that autmatically.
More importantly, I cannot even scan now! The scan button in addition to the save button are both grayed out.
I need to scan mortgage documents now!
Using Sierra 10.12.1 on MacBook Pro with HP Photosmart 7510.

Hi,
From your Applications folder or its HP subfolder delete any existing HP Scan or HP Easy Scan application, delete it by moving it to trash, then empty the trash.
Next install the latest HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed within the Applications folder:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-easy-scan-1_...
If you experience any further issues, ensure the latest software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip
Finally, ensure your drivers are up to date by clicking the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update.
Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, click Update All if any updated are available.
If you may see any warning mark neer your scanner name, click on Browse Scanners from the presets menu ad select your scanner, then try scanning again.
If you experience are any further issues, is the printer connected via USB or through the network?
Regards,
Shlomi
