Hi. recently HP SMART app requires every time to sign-in both to print and scan, but the problem is that the app doesn't work asking the Username but not the Password, thus not completing the sign-in process and making the tools unusable. I have to use Microsoft other tools: it's terribly annoying, why this absurdity?

Sorry, I repeat that I don't have any problem accessing my Account from the HP site, however I tried to do what you recommended just modifying some Account Settings, but the HP SMART app still doesn't work anyway: when I choose to stamp ot to scan it requires to log in but after clicking the LOGIN bottom it doesn't ask User and Password, loops for a while and returns to the dashboard without any error reporterd! It'a very annoying, please tell me why in the past I could normally use it and now I can't whereas I haven't changed neither computer nor software. Thank you.

I suggest that you follow the steps listed below to update the firmware from HP Smart App.

1. Go to 123.hp.com (Android, Apple iOS, iPad OS), or HP Smart - Microsoft Store (Windows), or HP Smart - Mac App Store (Mac) (if not installed).

2. After completing the printer setup, click or tap on the printer’s name.

NOTE: Menu names, locations, and available settings vary by printer model.

3. Under Advanced, select Printer Home Page (EWS) or Advanced Settings.

4. Click or tap Tools or Web Services.

5. Click or tap Printer Updates or Product Update, and then click or tap Check Now.

Hi Rainbow23, unfortunately it's not a driver or firmware problem, my printer is perfectly up to date, it's an HP SMART app problem, I've tried several times to uninstall and reinstall it but nothing to do, when trying to print or scan it requires to LOG IN but then it does not ask for User and Password so it is unusable. Luckily I can print and scan with Windows tools! However, I suspect that there is an incompatibility problem with Win 11, in fact with another PC where Win 10 is installed the app works correctly, I leave it to you to identify the problem, I give up using the HP SMART app... Thank you.
