Hello everyone,
I have several printers in my buildings and the use the HP Scan App , it needs the OCR to function.
After a few months, the application goes on an infinite loop and it only works if I turn the printer off and on , do a factory reset and maybe uninstall - reinstall with a factory reset.
No one from HP has been able to help me , they have remoted in, answered my phone calls but I haven't gotten any help.
I can't have this happen as we order a lot of your printers for many of my buildings but I am the one who does the purchasing. I can't continue to have this happen.
I need help please

Hi @Sys-Admin,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing an issue with the HP Scan app stuck in an infinite loop, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the problem.
- Restart your computer and your scanner: Sometimes a simple restart can fix the issue.
- Check for updates: Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Scan app installed on your computer. You can check for updates by visiting the HP website or through the App Store.
- Clear cache and data: If the app is still stuck in an infinite loop, try clearing the cache and data for the app. This can be done by going to the app settings in your computer's settings menu.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app: If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling and reinstalling the HP Scan app. This should reset the app and hopefully fix any issues that were causing it to get stuck in an infinite loop.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
