HP Scan and Capture closes abruptly right after it opens. It has worked fine up until now. Ideas?

Scan and Capture app closes right after it opens.  Will not scan.  I downloaded it again but that didn't help.  I can't find any support options for this software.

If you did not do so the first time, try Restarting the computer after you uninstall the program and before you download / install a fresh copy from the Windows Store.

If the program fails to run, glitches, or otherwise stops working as expected:  

Uninstall the existing copy > Restart > Download and install a fresh copy of the software

Windows key > toggle    to show Apps List > Open Category HP >

Right-Click HP Scan and Capture > Uninstall

Restart the computer and log in >

Windows key > Open the Windows Store >

Download / Install a fresh copy of the HP Scan and Capture software
