Hi,

I have just installed windows 11. Now hp scan says 'unable to communicate with scanner'  I ran print and scan doctor. All  checks out OK. I did a successful scan from there. If I right click on the printer in control panel \devices and printers Scan works OK.  Any help greatly appreciated

I have the same problem.  I am using an Office Jet 8710 Pro with Windows 11.  I have the same results as you only I loaded the Windows Scan app from the Microsoft store.  It works.  I also tried the Control Panel approach and that worked as well.  Something is not kosher here.
