Hi @KotianUmesh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ScanJet Pro N4600 fnw1 isn't showing the PDF file type when scanning over the network, here are some steps to troubleshoot.

Check Scanner Software: Ensure you have the latest version of HP Scan software installed on your computer. Sometimes updates can fix compatibility issues.

Update Printer Firmware: Check if there’s a firmware update available for your scanner. Updating the firmware can resolve many issues.

Network Configuration:

  • Ensure that your scanner is properly connected to the network and that your computer can communicate with it.
  • Verify that your network settings allow the scanner to send files to your computer.

Check Scan Settings:

  • Open the HP Scan software and go to the scan settings or preferences.
  • Ensure that the file format settings include PDF. If it's missing, try adding it or selecting it from the list.

Reconfigure Scanner Profile:

  • Sometimes reconfiguring the scan profile or creating a new profile can solve the issue.
  • Go to the scanner’s settings or software interface and check or set up the scanning profile for PDF.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your scanner, computer, and router. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve network-related issues.

Reinstall HP Software:

  • Uninstall and then reinstall the HP scanning software to ensure it’s properly configured.

Check Scanner’s Web Interface:

  • Access the scanner’s web interface by entering its IP address into a web browser.
  • Look for any settings related to file formats and ensure PDF is enabled.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
