HP Scanjet 2710-Problem under OSX 10.14 upgrade

Recently upgaded to OSX 10.4. HP Scanjet G2710 no longer works.

Have re-installed :

1. G2710 Full feature S/ware + Drivers for OSX 10.6 ;

2. G2710 update for OXS 10.7

Problem remains eg "HP Scan quit unexpectedly with exception type "EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL)" ; Exception Codes "0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000" ; Exception Note "EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY"

Is there an update available to make this scanner work with :

A. OSX 10.14 ; or

B. Make the Scanner available to Apple's Image Capture ; or

C. As a last resort, any recommendations on a similar new scanner fully supported under OSX 10.4

Assistance will be much appreciated.

Hi,

The latest scanning software for your scanner is available for OS X 10.6 with a software update up to OS X 10.9, the scanner is not officially compatible with any later OS version.

You may try the 3rd party VueScan application, I beleive that would work with yoru scanner:
