Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP ScanJet Pro 3000 s3 Sheet-feed Scanner

Problem: We open the HP Scan software, select the PDF to email option, scan the document, and we hit send. When we hit send, what should happen is an new email should be created in outlook with the scanned Item already attached. What we get is a loading box that despairs quickly, then nothing happens. We do not get an error message\code. This scanner is directly plugged into the printer.

 

Current workaround: We are saving as PDF to the local machine then creating an email through the outlook. This workstation does a lot of scanning that needs to be sent as an email so not having this function is slowing down production.

 

Things we have tried:

-Turned the computer and the scanner on and off

-reinstalled the drivers for the scanner and reinstalled the HP Scan software

-Checked all of the setting within the HP Scan software 

-When we select the option that saves the document locally and creates the email it will only save the document locally 

-attempted to create an other option similar to PDF to Email just named something else. (Wanted to see if that option was bugged)

-running the HP Scan software as admin

-Saved the PDF to the desktop, then right clicked and selected send to email. This worked. So we know the send to email function is working on the computer as a whole. Just not in the HP Scan app.

- This does not work with both new and old outlook. Changed outlook from one to the other and switched the defaults.

(There may be more that I'm forgetting) 

 

Things we are in the process of trying/ plan to try

-Moving the scanner to another computer to see if it works. (This workstation is where the scanner needs to be and we are trying not to rebuild a computer for one issue. This test will only let us know if it is a scanner problem or a computer problem)

-Downloading a new email software to see if HP Scan is having a hard time sending to outlook
