HP Scanjet 8300 Professional Image Scanner
Hardware-related software ”HP:n Ratkaisukeskus” (hpqdirec.exe) stopped working on February 1.
Device drivers are working. The scanner works if it is started from the hardware side. The software that controls the device (HP Solution Center) does not work. When you start the program, the font sf/i appears on the screen, but nothing else happens.
I have an HP Pavilion Desktop PC 570-p0xx computer and it has a Windows 10 system. All software has been updated regularly.
Scanner activity has been impeccable up to that date. For some reason now, this software (”HP:n Ratkaisukeskus” (hpqdirec.exe) )will no longer start on your computer.

Try this Solution:
Install HP Scan Extended find here: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/
Download this file: HPScanExt.msi
Close all programs
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on the msi.
